Ben Beitel


Ben Beitel is a visionary: he recognizes the potential in each deal and turns undervalued properties into profitable enterprises, time and time again. Mr. Beitel has over 25 years’ experience and a proven track record leading acquisitions, dispositions, portfolio and asset management and investor relations. Mr. Beitel initially built his real estate portfolio by investing in multi-family assets.
As Besyata quickly expanded, Mr. Beitel engaged institutional partners both in the United States and overseas to enable further growth. Over the course of his career, Mr. Beitel has purchased over $500MM in real estate and continues to expand and diversify the company's portfolios. Mr. Beitel is an active member in his community and an ardent supporter of many charities and committees.

Mark Silberstein


Mark Silberstein is in charge of financing new acquisitions through debt and equity and developing strategic partnerships with lenders and investors – from family offices to institutional partners. Mr. Silberstein's keen business acumen is critical in arranging and executing insightful and creative financing solutions for Besyata's new acquisitions. Since joining the firm, Mr. Silberstein has played an integral role in the growth of Besyata’s portfolios and the facilitation of capital markets transactions. Since joining the firm in 2011. Mr. Silberstein has raised capital for some of Besyata’s largest acquisitions.

Ben Cohen


Ben Cohen focuses on expanding the company’s portfolios through the acquisition of new assets. He sources and evaluates value-add investment and development opportunities across the U.S. in the multifamily commercial markets. Mr. Cohen is an accomplished real estate professional with extensive experience within the underwriting and portfolio management functions. Mr. Cohen joined Besyata in 2008, and since then, has coordinated some of Besyata’s most significant acquisitions, with a focus on value creation.

Katherine Zamsky


Katherine Zamsky focuses on developing strategic partnerships with investors and evaluating investment opportunities for Besyata’s portfolios. In her role, Ms. Zamsky oversees the sourcing of joint venture capital from family offices, private equity firms, investment banks, insurance companies, ultra-high-net-worth investors, and other institutional real estate investors. Ms. Zamsky joined Besyata in 2016 from Bank of America, where she structured and ran the private equity funds for the $65B wealth management platform. She managed LP-GP relationships and evaluated investment merits for a variety of sectors, including real estate. In her prior role at Merrill Lynch, Ms. Zamsky negotiated deal terms with leading hedge funds. She started her career at AIG on the hedge fund-of-fund team, where she focused on due diligence and portfolio allocations. Ms. Zamsky holds a BA from Hunter College and an MBA from Columbia University.

Russ Walker


Russ Walker plays a critical role in developing properties and maximizing their value. Over the past 15 years, Mr. Walker has managed the construction of dozens of development and redevelopment projects, providing oversight in every stage of the process. Mr. Walker has worked with various product types along the risk spectrum, managing projects from inception to completion. Mr. Walker has been recognized by the National Association of Home Builders with the designation of Graduate Master Builder and Certified Green Builder. Over the course of his work, Mr. Walker has acquired extensive knowledge of a number of metro residential real estate markets. He brings this knowledge to Besyata, where he is a valued member of the team.

Chaim Teitelbaum


Chaim Teitelbaum focuses on the sourcing and management of investment and development acquisition opportunities in New York multifamily and commercial markets. Mr. Teitelbaum joined Besyata in 2016 from M&Y Developers, where in his role as a COO, he oversaw the acquisitions, property management, development, and investment strategy of the company. Over the last eight years, Mr. Teitelbaum has been actively involved in every aspect of operations and development for over 650 apartments and 50,000 SF of retail space in NYC. He started his career at Bushburg Properties and Diamond Dynamics, focusing primarily on acquisitions.

Haim Mermelstein


Haim Mermelstein plays a multi-faceted role, involved in all aspects of hands-on real estate operations and development. He utilizes his broad industry network and extensive experience to develop and implement portfolio and asset strategies for the company. Heavily involved in corporate decisions for every transaction, Mr. Mermelstein oversees all legal, tax, insurance, development, and financing matters. A creative problem solver, Mr. Mermelstein has identified significant cost-saving and value-add solutions for every project, helping to deliver solid returns to Besyata and its partners.

Andrea Bellino


Andrea Bellino focuses on asset management and is involved in all aspects of hands-on real estate operations and development. Ms. Bellino is an accomplished real estate professional with experience in asset management. Ms. Bellino joined Besyata in 2016 from the Easton Group where she oversaw operations of 17 million square feet across 18 commercial properties, directed capital and tenant improvements, prepared operating budgets and oversaw financial statements. In her prior role at National Development Corporation, Ms. Bellino managed operating data for rental property portfolio of over 11,000 units. Ms. Bellino holds a BA from University of Miami.

Xzavian Johnson


Xzavian Johnson focuses on asset management and is involved in all aspects of daily real estate operations and development. Ms. Johnson is an accomplished real estate professional with 11 years of nationwide experience in asset management. Ms. Johnson joined Besyata in 2017 from TGM Associates where as a Business Manager she oversaw operations, leasing, renovation, staff, and financial reporting of luxury rental apartments as well as a Marina. In her prior roles at Greystar, ZRS, William C. Smith & Co., and Archstone, Ms. Johnson managed financial reporting, renovations, budgets, and leasing teams for large multifamily rental properties to achieve capital and tenant improvements. Ms. Johnson holds a B.A. from Howard University.

Hindy Gancz


Hindy Gancz heads the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports and the management of the system of accounting records for Besyata. In her capacity as controller, Ms. Gancz oversees a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

Jared Rosenblatt


Jared Rosenblatt manages the sourcing and research of potential acquisitions in the commercial market. Underwriting potential investment opportunities for Besyata’s portfolios, Mr. Rosenblatt conducts market research, due diligence, and financial analysis for all types of commercial transactions, managing strategic broker relations along the way. Mr. Rosenblatt joined Besyata in 2015 from a CPA accounting firm, where his focus was on real estate holdings. Mr. Rosenblatt holds a BA in Accounting from Touro College.

David Ganz


David Ganz directs all acquisition activities for Besyata’s portfolios, managing the sourcing, research, and financial analysis of prospective acquisitions in the residential and commercial markets nationwide. Helping to strategize, evaluate and execute real estate transactions to meet the company’s investment criteria, Mr. Ganz is involved in all aspects of the team’s transaction activities, including, but not limited to, providing financial and valuation analysis; due diligence oversight; and assisting in the development of investment offering marketing materials.

Ryan Winter


Ryan Winter underwrites prospective acquisitions within Besyata’s portfolios, preparing detailed financial models and property-level research for each deal. He uses Argus, CoStar, and Excel, among other tools, to underwrite investment opportunities in both the commercial and residential markets. Prior to joining Besyata, Mr. Winter worked at Brixmor Property Group, where he was exposed to commercial acquisitions as well as the leasing functions of the business. Mr. Winter holds a BS degree from University of Delaware, where he majored in Finance and graduated with Honors.

Hannah Newman


Hannah Newman focuses on developing and managing relationships with current and prospective investment partners, directing key business development initiatives. Ms. Newman oversees the marketing and communication efforts of the company, including media and client relations.

Mellonee Walker


Mellonee Walker manages the day to day business activity and operations of the office and ensures the office is properly maintained and prepared for business partner meetings. Ms. Walker joined Besyata in 2015 and has over 5 years' experience in customer service relations and office management. Ms. Walker holds a BA degree from Prince Georges College, where she double majored in Business Administration and Information Architecture Contracts.
